Why Bra Sizes Are A Scam: Linda The Bra Lady On How To Finally Get The Right One

Linda's Synopsis of Why Bra Sizes Are A Scam: Linda The Bra Lady On How To Finally Get The Right One

I've been in the bra business for a long time – over 25 years. I've fit thousands of women with thousands of bras. And I've seen the industry through many changes, one of them being sizing standards.

This She Finds article, in which I suggest that bra sizes have changed in the past 10 years due to vanity sizing, led to a segment on Good Morning America, more articles, and a huge discussion on various social media outlets. Talk about stirring the pot! Throughout my years, I’ve always said that an in-person fitting with a trained bra fitter is best, but I’ve also been “braducating” women about what makes a good fit, how to shop for bras on their own, and even how to measure themselves to get a good starting point. I was thrilled to fit the article's author, Lauren Caruso, and share a few pointers with her and women everywhere.

The good news is that all this chatter about vanity sizing got women talking, and paying attention. And I still get to continue doing what I love: "braducating" women so they can finally figure out what their true bra size is!
