Bra Expert Linda Becker Says Sizes Are a Scam

Linda's Synopsis of Bra Expert Linda Becker Says Sizes Are a Scam

When Good Morning America calls at 5pm to shoot a segment on bra sizes and fitting in my store that same night, you make it happen. It's a good thing I'm always camera ready and wearing a fabulous bra!

Over the past 25 years, I've fit bras on thousands of women. This has given me a lot of bra knowledge, and I was thrilled to share it with ABC and Good Morning America. Just about eight out of ten women are wearing the wrong bra size and don't even know it. Over the years, I realized that bra companies changed their sizing standards without even telling us. They wanted us to think our back was smaller, and our breasts were bigger. The same woman, years ago, who wore a bra in a 36, may now wear a 32. That will really change her cup size! For example, a D in a 36 would need an F in a 32! Believe it or not, an F cup is one of my most popular sizes. Thanks to some volunteer models, I was able to cover a few bra fitting basics with ABC's Bianna Golodryga, and set the record straight!

Remember: bra sizes have changed, and there's no set standard. It's most important to make sure you have a proper fit, regardless of the number. Come get a fitting - and don't be surprised if you're a totally different size than you thought!
